Making Local Government More Human

We build simple, powerful AI software that helps local governments serve residents more effectively, from city halls to county departments, from ordinance searches to 24/7 support. But tech alone isn’t the answer. That’s why our values drive us to lead with people, boldness, and purpose. If you're excited about public service and real-world impact, you’ll fit right in.

For the People

Almost every company has a value along the lines of “We are customer obsessed.” Something about that feels off to us. We’ve always seen ourselves as part of our customers’ communities, as part of their team. We’re more than obsessed; we are an extension of our customers.

That starts with how we treat one another: with care, clarity, and a shared commitment to making government work better for everyone. We reject the zero-sum mindset that dominates much of govtech. Instead, we prioritize long-term value for our users, for our partners, and for the people.

Move Fast and Make Things

Tech has been known to move fast and break things. However, governments deliver critical services that cannot fail. There is no room for breaking. Only making. We sweat the details, move with care, and hold ourselves to a higher standard. Speed drives transformation and successful outcomes compound trust.

Governments are facing unprecedented challenges: increasing expectations, hiring shortages, new mandates. We build with urgency because there is no other choice for governments. We build with uncompromising quality because public servants and constituents deserve it.

Question, Improve, Repeat

A defeatist government mindset we  hear is: “That’s the way we’ve always done it.” But our partners across the country are embracing a new way of thinking. We begin with the end in mind, how government should work for the people it serves. This vision shapes what we do. We question assumptions and fiercely challenge inertia.

Externally, we help governments see what’s possible and empower them to get there. Internally, we hold our opinions loosely and prioritize what’s right over ego. We’re here to reshape the market into one of innovation, openness, collaboration, and above all, community-focused.

"The work we’re doing at Poli feels really important. It’s rare to find a company where all the pieces align: technically challenging work, brilliant and kind colleagues, and a product I truly believe in. This is exactly where I want to be."

Staff Software Engineer

Meaningful Impact

We build tools that help power service-first governments, answering questions faster, simplifying day-to-day work, and making things easier for public servants and residents alike. The work isn’t always easy, but it’s real and fun. And we’re proud to be part of it.

Cutting-Edge Technology

Whether it’s deploying AI to handle late-night voice calls or streamlining government processes with clean, thoughtful design, we’re always learning and trying new things. We care more about solving real problems than chasing buzzwords, but we do like building tools that are modern, useful, and a little bit magical.
"This has been one of the best roles of my career: working at a fast-paced startup that makes a real, tangible impact on the world around us. Improving the lives of our neighbors, communities, and ourselves by enabling our institutions to serve us better. I couldn't imagine working anywhere else."
Nav Ramineni
Account Executive

A Culture of Collaboration

We're the students that loved a group project. We ask questions, share ideas early, and try to leave things better than we found them. Everyone’s voice matters here, and we do our best work when we listen to each other and build together.
